more zombies

My love has been at this music thing for quite some time but says he is tired of being thought of as the dumb drummer. I don't know that he is actually thought of in this way, he just thinks that people do. I believe that people just think he's short a few marbles. All drummers are, right? I've always said that it's unnatural to be able to do that many things all at once.

It really comes down to a society being raised with Animal, the drummer, on our screens and in our hearts. He's crazy and not too bright but, a damn great drummer!

I think it's hard for people to realize that Ely James has the ability to do more than just hit things with sticks. It's hard for even him to realize it.

He needs to realize it. For reals. Cause this...

...is awesome!!

After this song came out, I googled 'Zombie Elevator.' Apparently, there are some Brazilians that are famous for pranking people in the elevator with zombies!

A whole other kind of awesome. It's even better with the ghost girl in the elevator.

Ahhhhhh!! Indeed.

carjacking

I don't have a car but, if I did, I'm sure I would find this ridiculous thing useful:

Weird. Where do I find this shit? I don't even know. I have saved blog posts from ages ago and there is no system of keeping track of what I was even searching for at the time of finding anything.

Oh, and just to know, if I had a car now-it would be this:

Just sayin'. Maybe it would fit Ely James' drum kit. Maybe not.

Not far off from the car I dreamed of in high school, actually:

Amazing how one's taste does not change. I guess that makes me boring? Predictable? Oh well.

Reading the wiki page about the Corrado, it says that it was conceived to be the successor of the Porsche 944.

It's all starting to make sense. I am seeing the pattern. Here is the car I ended up with in high school:

My mother gave it away right after I finished college. I can't blame her. I had moved to Queens-where I really did not need it and it just sat in her parking lot.

I do miss her though. The car. Not my mom. Well, I miss my mom but only because I'm lazy and never leave the city to see her. Her name was Sydney. Again, the car. Not my mom. Named after the red headed crazy bitch from Melrose Place. Seemed appropriate.

Wonder where she is now. The car. Not Sydney from Melrose Place.

don't you carry nothing...

...that might be a load. We had so much load we had to leave some behind. Oh well.

About the picture above. Do you see the amazingness in the background? The thing that we had to go back for and leave behind because or tiny Nissan crapversa wouldn't fit along with two adults, a Sweet Baby and an almost full drum set?

Oh. That's not all.

It reclines. And it was a steal. So excited for this to make the trip east with Ely James' parents when they so kindly make the long trek to bring us this bad boy.

the long one

This is just some of the haul we brought back. ely james had these bad boys in storage at his parent's house. His mother got these for him at an auction. For $15. Nice.

When I get used to being back I will add more. Maybe tonight. We shall see.

i'm really not that busy

I feel like I'm going out of my mind! Nothing happens when I want it to. Or how I want it to. I meant to be posting more about how it works opening a business when you have no idea what you are doing. In between the work and the stress of all this, I had a moment to enjoy ely james and what he loves to do.

The attention to detail that man has is amazing. In his playing and in his wardrobe-which consists of very little. It's just that the way he puts it all together is perfection. See the tie tack? The french cuffs with cuff links? He cut that leather jacket so his cuffs stuck out. Made quite a visual in the dark. He spends most of his time hiding behind that kit. It's great that he thinks of subtle ways to stand out.
I almost took pictures of what that white shirt looked like after the gig but I thought that was too much information! Believe me, it was no longer white and probably never will be again.

I didn't make it to the banks on Monday. I spent most of the day emailing with the co-op board and making my breaking even analysis. Which wasn't as scary as I thought if I separate the apartment in the back. ely james and I will just have to make the $ for that with our 'day' jobs.

It does seem that the board is leaving their options open. Which makes sense. The neighborhood is changing so much. I mean TWO Duane Reades within 5 blocks of each other. You know that's a sign of more money to be had.

Now I just have to figure out how to get my credit report in a pdf. Then later today , after work and before dinner with a friend, I will meet with my 'lawyer' to get my sole proprietorship papers going.
