I have a thing for things abandoned. I like to imagine how they were before. Today I looked into what it was like, in the picture above, many years ago.
The Nickle Plate Frankfort Roundhouse in Frankfort, Indiana. Built in 1924 and was functioning until 1991. Now it is this:
What a shame. There are hopes to revitalize it and turn it into a museum/shopping mall extravaganza. Small town dreams. Hope they come true. Click on the photo just above to find out how.
